Kendrick Lamar & ScHoolBoy Q Speak On Upcoming Albums

In an interview with Billboard, Kendrick Lamar sat down and discussed his upcoming album, which he explains is yet to be titled, despite the talk of it being “Good Kid in a Mad City.” Kendrick also expressed what things are like working in the studio alongside Pharrell. He also revealed that the duo has finished up six songs. However, what he didn’t let in on is whether or not the songs will make the cut for the album.
“Pharrell really does this music like this is his first time in the studio. He still got that hunger… We knocked out six records in two days.”

Alongside Pharrell, Kendrick has also snagged the legendary producer, Dr. Dre, as well as the legendary Q-Tip to contribute to his album. And in case you’re wondering, you know he kept it in the TDE family and got Sounwave on a couple of tracks as well.
Now, although ScHoolBoy Q‘s “Habits & Contradictions” has only been in heavy rotation by many hip-hop heads for a couple of weeks, the Black Hippy member is already working on his debut album as well! Q stated that he is going to give fans “the whole Q” and that he still has a lot more growing to do.

At first, I gave them a taste of “Setbacks” and “Habits & Contradictions,” now I’m about to put them both together and give you the whole Q.
